About Amy Murphy
Amy Murphy, FNP, is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has over 16 years of experience in healthcare. Her experience began with acute brain and spinal cord injuries involving high acuity care. She has worked in both a large hospital setting as well as private practices. After 10 years at the bedside, she realized she wanted to do more for her patients, so she went back to school for a master’s degree in nursing. She enjoys helping her patients reach their greatest health potential with an emphasis on nutrition, active lifestyle and minimizing medication.
She obtained both her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in nursing from Kennesaw State University. She also has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from George Mason University, located in Fairfax, Va.
Amy lives in Woodstock with her husband and three teenaged children. On her time off, she enjoys being outdoors with her family biking, hiking or kayaking. She also enjoys reading and cooking.
